Biography
Douglas D. Ketterman is the originator and founder of Ketterman Rowland & Westlund where he currently serves as President and Managing Shareholder. Douglas has extensive experience in handling all types of civil litigation. In 1989, he graduated with honors from St. Mary’s School of Law. He has been Board Certified as a Specialist in Personal Injury Trial Law since 1994. He concentrates on wrongful death, serious injury and insurance litigation. He is licensed to practice law in both Federal and State District Courts. In 2004 and every year thereafter, Douglas was chosen one of the Best Lawyers in San Antonio; peer reviewed Scene in SA Monthly. In 2008 and every year thereafter, Douglas was chosen a Texas Super Lawyer; peer reviewed and limited to 5% of practicing attorneys in this State. In 2008 and every year thereafter, Douglas was distinguished as one of the Best Lawyers in America; peer reviewed annually. He has been included as a lifetime member in the National Registry of Who's Who. He is "AV" rated by Martindale Hubble - the highest rating a lawyer can achieve. In 2004, Douglas was appointed by the State Bar of Texas to the District 10 Grievance Committee where he served as committee chair and panel chair through the year 2010. He has been included as a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum - membership limited to top trial lawyers throughout the United States who have achieved a verdict, award or settlement in the amount of One Million Dollars or more. He is a past Director of the San Antonio Trial Lawyer’s Association. Douglas is a certified mediator conducting in excess of 1,500 mediations. On a personal level, Douglas and his wife, D'Lynn, have been married since 1981 and have two children, Matthew and Kelli.
