Truck Driver in Fatal Bus Crash Not Yet Charged
mySA– 20-year-old Jack D. Young, the truck driver involved in last month’s fatal bus crash leaving 13 dead, was released from University Hospital, Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed. The severalty of his injuries was not released. He has yet to be charged with any wrongdoing in the crash and is “under investigation,” according to DPS Sgt. Johnny Hernandez. The accident occurred on U.S. 83, near Garner State Park on March 29. Young ran head-on into a church bus, killing 13 senior church members.
The truck driver allegedly told Jody Kuchler, one of the witnesses on scene, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I was texting on my phone.”
“I told him. ‘Son, do you know what you just did?’ He just kept saying, ‘I’m sorry. I’m sorry,'” said Sgt.Hernandez.
Cell phone records have been collected by federal authorities, as well as, airbag deployment data and video of the incident.

- in 2014, 3,744 lаrgе truсkѕ wеrе іnvоlvеd іn fаtаl сrаѕhеѕ, 88,000 wеrе іnvоlvеd іn іnjurу сrаѕhеѕ, аnd 346,000 wеrе іnvоlvеd іn рrореrtу dаmаgе оnlу сrаѕhеѕ.
According to U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics rероrtѕ:
