Types Of Burn Injuries
The categories of burn severity are divided into three areas, based primarily on the wound depth.
First degree burns are often associated with sunburns. It only reaches a depth of the epithelium, and the wound is light to dark pink. They can be very painful, tender to the touch, and sore. In order to completely heal, it takes an average of 2-5 days.
