Your San Antonio Car Accident Attorney Understands the Law

Driving becomes more dangerous every day, and auto accidents are all too common. Negligence is a factor in many accidents, so even the most cautious drivers sometimes face life-altering consequences because a fellow driver was texting, drunk, or just not paying attention.

While the law is designed to protect innocent drivers from the carelessness of others, the laws that govern car accidents in Texas are often confusing. You may have questions you’d like to ask to an experienced San Antonio Accident Attorney, and some of the more common questions we hear include:

  • Will insurance cover my medical bills?
  • Will the negligent party be responsible for my lost wages?
  • Will I be compensated for injuries and scars that will last for the rest of my life?

If you were in an accident that was not your fault, it is unfair for you to be stuck with medical bills, auto repair bills, and lost wages without being fairly compensated. Not only does your San Antonio Accident Attorney understand the law, they will aggressively fight to protect your interests and obtain a fair settlement.

Your San Antonio Accident Lawyer Will Help Protect Your Future

After a life-changing event like an auto accident, it’s natural to want to put the trauma of the event behind you as quickly as possible. Healing takes time, especially when injuries sustained in a car accident are severe.

However, it’s important to be keenly aware that severe injuries can impact your future in ways you may not have considered. While you can recover from an auto accident, it’s possible you won’t feel the full effects of an injury until many years have passed, and then it will be too late to seek any further compensation.

When applicable, your San Antonio Accident Lawyer will actively pursue compensation for injuries, while taking into consideration how they may affect your life in the future. We call this portion of a settlement “pain and suffering,” and it’s just as important as recouping lost wages and auto repair bills.

A severe car accident injury can manifest itself many years later in the form of arthritis, severe joint or back pain, or scars that become more noticeable with age. If you find any of these symptoms affecting your life one day in the future, you’ll be glad that you had an auto accident attorney with the experience to help you receive an adequate settlement.

Your San Antonio Car Accident Attorney will Fight for a Fair Insurance Settlement

Insurance companies are in business to make money, so can you trust your agent when they offer to settle a car accident claim? The vast majority of auto accident settlement claims are settled for far less than their full value in the state of Texas. This is because insurance companies often seek to settle before the accident victim has time to thoroughly review their settlement offer. In fact, your insurance agent may quickly try to settle your accident claim in an effort to minimize the amount of money you ultimately receive.

Don’t let this happen to you. If you think your insurance company is going to treat you fairly because you’ve always kept up with your premiums, you should take some time to review statistics on this subject. Remember, when it comes to your health you should never take chances. If you settle a claim before the full extent of your injuries is known, you run the risk of going into debt for unexpected medical bills, or missed work, at a later date.

Once you settle an insurance claim for a car accident, there is little you can do at a later date to redress the situation. If you develop back or neck pain, arthritis, or other health issues related to the accident, you could miss work or be stuck with a pile of medical bills that you can’t pay.

Your San Antonio Car Accident Attorney will Review Any Insurance Offer

Your Car accident attorney in San Antonio can ensure that any offer presented to you by an insurance agent is fair and honest. They can also help you seek damages for injuries that will maximize the settlement in an effort to acknowledge how the quality of your life may suffer. If another driver’s actions cause you lasting pain and suffering, you are entitled to compensation for those injuries. This is why insurance exists, and if an insurance company is trying to bolster their profit margin at your expense, we will make sure that you get treated fairly, according to the law.

Resolving your case starts with an accurate understanding of your legal rights. Your car accident attorney will arm you with the legal knowledge you need to ensure your claim isn’t being undervalued. We also won’t collect any fee until we finalize case and collect a settlement on your behalf. This underscores the fact that you have nothing to lose by retaining a professional car accident attorney who will aggressively fight to protect your interests.

Your car accident attorney will also conduct their own investigation of your accident, if necessary. If the negligent driver or their insurance company tries to shrug off their responsibility, we will gather evidence designed to prove our case. We take these situations very seriously, because we know how frustrating it is when people refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Providing our clients with justice and a fair settlement is one of the most rewarding aspects of being an attorney, so you can trust our San Antonio legal team to help you make the situation right.

San Antonio would grow to become the largest Spanish settlement in all of Texas. Battles with the Texian Army would further reshape the populace, as Mexican soldiers were forced out of the city upon its capture in 1835.
