Some semi drivers act like they own the road – tailgating, speeding, and cutting others off without considering how their actions will affect the flow of traffic. A driver that is under the influence of alcohol or drugs may lack the readiness to deal with a sudden problem, and at times may even fall asleep at the wheel. Often, a fraction of a second is the difference between life and death on the highway, so it’s vital that 18 wheeler drivers be attentive, sober, and qualified to handle a large truck.
When negligence behind the wheel, it is not your fault. Texas law is written to protect you from someone else’s carelessness, so that you don’t have to suffer physically and financially for the rest of your life.
