Heavy Rains Cause Water Damage to North Side Apartment Complex
KSAT12- Heavy rains caused residents of a North Side apartment complex to flee their flooding apartments and seek safety outside in the pouring rain Sunday night, May 21, 2017.
The incident occurred at the Escondido Village Apartments, in the 7200 block of Blanco Road in San Antonio. The fire department was called around 10 p.m. to help residents as they fled eight flooded units. A leaky roof caused the flooding. Firefighters said a carport located below the apartments also sustained some damage.
All the residents moved to other apartments for their safety. The American Red Cross arrived to offer their services for those affected by the unfortunate flooding.
