At KRW Lawyers, our Consumer & Complex Litigation Group was built specifically so that Texans facing debt collectors, data breaches, deceptive business practices, and other consumer harms always have a dedicated team in their corner, whether or not they're already working with us on another matter.

The Group is co-chaired by Of Counsel Andrew Thomasson and Partner Francesca Di Troia. Andrew has spent more than a decade representing consumers in class actions and appeals, and courts have appointed him class counsel in more than 70 certified consumer class actions across the country. His work has produced published, precedential decisions in the Second, Third, and Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeals that continue to shape how consumer protection statutes are applied nationwide. In one Texas case, he certified a settlement for 28,569 Texas residents that eliminated more than $41.2 million in medical debt and forced the removal of negative marks from their credit reports.

Francesca brings a rare depth of authority to Texas consumer law. She co-authored the casebook from which Texas lawyers learn the Deceptive Trade Practices Act, and she teaches consumer protection law at the University of Texas School of Law. Before entering private practice, she served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Texas Attorney General's Tort Litigation Division, giving her firsthand insight into how the opposing side evaluates and defends these cases.

Together, Andrew and Francesca combine national consumer class action experience with the authority of Texas's own consumer law scholarship, all working on your behalf.
